COTE: noun ('kōt, ˈkät) Old French
"Outer garment with sleeves, a coat"
When researching my married surname, Calcote, I discovered meaning of 'COTE' in the Old French of the Middle Ages. The name fit perfectly with the pocket squares I block-print and hand-dye in Atlanta, Georgia. Each design, inspired by a historical figure, is meant to fill an empty pocket with a burst of color and fanciful imagery. Don't be a square, wear a square!
